I finally got to take photos of one of the neighborhood hawks!! This one was on a street light along the access road to the highway. I've got stickers in my socks, and holes in my shirt from barbed wire but I am pleased. Now I can get over my latest pet obsession. Whew!! This bird was calling every few minutes as I approached while taking a picture every few steps. Finally tired of my attentions the hawk flew to another street light and I followed. I was ignored for five more minutes while listening to hawk cries. Then the hawk flew again and I let well enough alone and went home. I am so happy, I won't even venture what the hawk thought of our interaction. The files are big but I wanted high quality pictures because this was much more difficult than I had thought it would be.
